CLARKSVILLE, IN (September 6, 2023) – Runners and walkers from across southern Indiana will be meeting in south Clarksville next month to support local kids. Registration is now open for Clarksville’s annual “Run for the Kids” 5K, which is held each October. This year’s event will be held on Saturday, October 21 at 9:00am.
All proceeds from the annual event are split in half and donated to Clarksville’s “Shop with a Cop” program as well as the WHAS Crusade for Children. Last year’s race raised more than $11,000 for charity. The cost to participate this year is $30.00. Each runner will receive a bib with timing chip and a long-sleeved t-shirt. There will also be awards for the top finishers. Race begins at 9:00AM and timing will end at 10:30AM. The race will start and end at the Clarksville Cove Family Aquatic Center. Registration is open to runners and walkers of all ages and abilities.
