The Clarksville town council
The Council serves as the legislative and executive body of the Town. Each year the Council votes one of their members to serve as the President of the Council. This member has the power to sign contracts, ordinances, etc., that have been approved by the Council. The President also represents the Council at government and community functions.
The Council appoints the Town Manager who serves as the chief executive of the Town. The Manager is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the Town government and to implement the policies created and decisions made by the Council.
Regular meetings of the Clarksville Town Council are held on the first and third Tuesday of each month at 6:00pm in the Administration Building. These meetings are open to the public. Contact the Town Manager for more information.
