CLARKSVILLE, IN (May 25, 2023) – Put another W in the win column for the Clarksville Police Department and the Southern Indiana Drug Task Force. On Tuesday, Clarksville Police seized $1.7 million in narcotics money as part of a joint operation with Brownsburg Police. CPD also had assistance from the DEA, and Illinois State Police.

Investigators say the bust is the result of a long-running investigation, led by Clarksville Police and Brownsburg Police, into a drug smuggling operation based out of California. So far no arrests have been made, but investigators say that could change as this is an ongoing investigation.

“This latest bust is just another example of the brilliant work being done by the Clarksville Police Department,” said Clarksville Communications Director Ken Conklin. “The Town of Clarksville is grateful to the officers involved for all of their hard work, and we would like to congratulate them on another job well done.”

Since this is an ongoing investigation, no other information can be released at this time.
