Why did you decide to run for this office?
“I have served the town of Clarksville most of my life, I’m currently retired and will be honored to serve the town of Clarksville again. I want to be involved in how our tax dollars are spent. I will be able to spend 100% of my time on being your Clerk Treasurer and will be an asset to the town.“

What do you believe is the biggest challenge facing the Town of Clarksville, and what would you do to address it if elected?
“All the empty retail buildings. Would like to bring in big businesses to fill them, such as Cosco, Trader Joes, would also like to see a Great Wolf Lodge next to Bass Pro. Bring in more entertainment for our young such as a skating rink, etc.”

What are your goals for the office?
“Save Taxpayers dollars, focus on decreasing Attorney Fees, Bond Fees, Bank Interest. Ensure all departments stay within their budgets.”

What experience do you have that makes you the best candidate for the position?
“I enjoy being a public servant. I have worked for the town of Clarksville most of my life. I started with the Wastewater Dept, then was a Fire Fighter and finally moved to the Police Department where I worked my way through the ranks to become Chief of Police. I was responsible for budgeting and supervising the department, until my retirement. I then started a new career Managing Wellington Green Mobile Home Park for 12 years. I’m currently retired and will be able to serve as your Clerk Treasurer Full Time.”

What do you think is the most important skill someone needs to fill the office you are running for?
“Understanding Finance & Budgets.”

What distinguishes you from your opponent?
“My main objection will be focusing on saving taxpayer dollars and I will be able to perform my duties full time.”

If there was one thing that you could change about the Town of Clarksville, what would it be?
“Traffic on Veterans.”
