CLARKSVILLE, IN (November 28, 2023) – A new project in the Lincoln Heights neighborhood aimed at restoring significant stretches of roadway is beginning earlier than expected.  Early Tuesday afternoon the Town of Clarksville released information about the project which spans the entire subdivision, encompassing 26 distinct locations, with each varying in both length and width.  The original start date was expected to be December 4th, but late Tuesday evening, town officials were informed that work would begin as early as Wednesday, November 29th.

“Dan Cristiani Excavating notified us that they had finished another project up early, so they could go ahead and start the project in Lincoln Heights,” said Clarksville Public Works Director Brad Cummings.  “However, no work will affect any of the residents’ driveways until I’ve had a chance to speak with them about the project.”

The cost of the project is approximately $150,000.  Residents should anticipate encountering detours during the course of the repairs.  Director Cummings assures that the contractor will maintain access routes to all residences throughout the project. Nevertheless, some residents might experience challenges in reaching their driveways during the concrete curing phase, which spans approximately seven days for each location. The plan is for work crews to tackle three to five locations concurrently.

As it stands, the project is set to conclude in Spring 2024, barring any weather-related setbacks.
