CLARKSVILLE, IN (July 12, 2024) – It is the first, new single-family home neighborhood to begin construction in more than 17 years, and work officially kicked off this morning. Millennium Builders and the Town of Clarksville celebrated the beginning of the new South Valley neighborhood development at 129 North Randolph Avenue.
Millennium Builders recently reached an agreement to purchase the 2.5-acre property from the Clarksville Redevelopment Commission. The family-owned company plans to build 21 new single-family, detached homes, each with a minimum of 1,400 square feet of living space. The homes will each have 3-4 bedrooms, 1.5-2.5 bathrooms, and a garage or driveway. The listing prices are expected to be between $325,000 and $355,000.
“We are a family-owned company that prides itself on our boutique-style approach to building homes,” said Victoria Johns, Chief Operating Officer of Millennium Builders. “Our mission as a family is to stay ahead of the ever-changing market, always pushing the boundaries of design while maintaining high-quality construction.”
Millennium Builders is a true family-run company. In addition to serving as the Chief Operating Officer, Victoria is the daughter of company founder Jimmy Johns. His other daughter, Alexis, serves as Leader of Design and Development. Jimmy’s wife Mindy Johns also serves as the company’s Chief Financial Officer.
Victoria says the company hopes to have all 21 homes built and sold within 24 months. During her remarks, she thanked the Town of Clarksville, the Redevelopment Commission, and the Wheatley Group for guiding the project through all the necessary approvals, and assisting with making the project a reality.
“I want to express our sincere gratitude to everyone who has supported us on this journey,” said Johns “Together, we are not just building houses, but creating homes where cherished memories will be made. Thank you all for being a part of this incredible milestone.”
The property is the site of the former Paper Products, Inc, which specialized in wholesale paper products for area businesses. The Clarksville Redevelopment Commission purchased the property in 2020, following the closure of Paper Products. The building was later demolished and the site was cleared for redevelopment.
