CLARKSVILLE, IN (July 15, 2024) – Join the Jeffersonville Township Public Library on Saturday, July 27th from 3:00-4:00 p.m. at the Jeffersonville location for an amazing hour devoted to Stories of Origin Park’s Past with Jim Kenney!
Jim Kenney has an impressive resume: a 1973 graduate of Clarksville High School, a graduate of the University of Evansville, and a graduate of the University of Louisville’s Brandeis School of Law. He then retired from Farm Credit of Mid-America, after a 30-year career, and in 2016, he became a founding Director of River Heritage Conservancy, a 501(3)c non-profit organization, seeking to design & develop a linear park along Indiana’s Ohio River shoreline. Currently, he serves on the Board of the Filson Historical Society and is a former member of the Town of Clarksville’s Historic Preservation Commission.
Origin Park begins where the rapids of the Falls of the Ohio began to recede, leaving a location to “originate” rich historical stories over the past 10,000 years. Come and learn a few of the many stories that “originated ” in Origin Park.
The presentation will be approximately 45 minutes in length with 15 minutes of Q&A.
