CLARKSVILLE, IN (September 8, 2022) – Four Clark County Indiana service organizations are coming together for a week of service the week of September 11th through September 17th. The Clark County Rotary Club, Optimist Club, Kiwanis Club and the Lions Clubs are joining hands with all Clark County schools in a week long joint service project.

Working together with the Waterstep organization, the clubs will collect donated shoes, glasses and hearing aids throughout the community. Donation boxes will be located in Clark County school lobbies for students to bring gently used shoe donations. Donated shoes will be given to the Waterstep organization who uses the proceeds from the shoes to fund clean drinking water stations both domestically and abroad. Just three pairs of shoes will provide safe water for one person for life!

The service week will include a donation trailer for public shoe donations that will travel to four Clark County high schools ending on Saturday September 17th in the Clarksville Town Hall parking lot.
