CLARKSVILLE, IN (April 25, 2022) – New construction is coming to one of the business retail arteries through the Town of Clarksville beginning in just a few days. Indiana American Water announced today that crews will be installing a 24 inch water main along Veterans Parkway beginning at Bass Pro Drive (near Dairy Queen) and continuing east to Jeffersonville.

Representatives from Indiana American Water tell us the construction will begin April 29th and run through August. The construction means that drivers and pedestrians should expect lane closures as well as sidewalk closures. These will be “rolling closures”, so the entire work area will not be closed all at once. Driver should expect possible delays if planning to travel on Veterans Parkway. Although most of the pipe will be placed along the side of the roadway, plans are to cross under Veterans Parkway in two locations.
