Clarksville Residents Invited to Participate in Louisville’s Solar Savings Program

Solar Panels

CLARKSVILLE, IN (March 3, 2022) – Residents in Clarksville and surrounding areas are being given the chance to save on “going green”. Recently the Louisville Metro Government partnered with the Louisville Sustainability Council to launch the Solar Over Louisville solarize campaign. The program gives households in the greater Louisville region the opportunity to go solar together and support the city’s 100% clean energy goals. The campaign will give households bulk-purchasing power to obtain discounted wholesale rates for solar installation.

Louisville’s Office of Advanced Planning and Sustainability recently reached out to Clarksville Town officials about the program, informing them that Clarksville residents would also qualify to use the program and save on the installation of solar panels on their homes. Organizers of the campaign says it will:

• Make investing in solar easy by connecting participants with a vetted solar installer and providing a step-by-step walk-through of the solar installation process.
• Reduce your energy bill.
• Potentially increase your property value.
• Support local solar jobs.

On Friday, February 18th, Louisville Mayor Greg Fischer and the LSC made the announcement that Kentucky-based Solar Energy Solutions (SES) had been selected from a competitive pool of applicants as the designated vetted solar installation partner for the Solar Over Louisville campaign! SES is a Kentucky based experienced solar design, engineering, and construction company with a strong track record in the Kentucky-Indiana-Ohio region. By connecting Solar Over Louisville participants with the vetted installer, we are removing the need for residents to vet an installer themselves while providing them access a 10 – 19% discount.
