Through a collaboration with Indiana University’s Environmental Resilience Institute (ERI) and the Indiana Office of Community and Rural Affairs, the Town of Clarksville was awarded a $121,900 grant to develop a strategy for relieving the impacts of extreme summer heat on the community.
The next time you attend a special event or recreational program in the Town of Clarksville, you may notice a new face. Blaine Brooks was recently hired as the department’s new Recreation Director, replacing Ken Conklin who transitioned to a new role as Communications Director for the town government.
A local company has proposed the development of 200 multifamily luxury apartments and townhomes in the new Downtown Clarksville area. Known as Current812, the project will include a 4,300 square foot, two-story rooftop restaurant, a resort-style pool, gourmet grilling stations, fire pits, clubhouse, fitness center, pet spa and dog park, a fifth-floor resident pavilion with iconic views of both Downtown Louisville and the Ohio River.
The challenge was simple. Which department, Clarksville Police or Clarksville Fire, could get more area residents to donate blood to the Red Cross during a special blood drive on June 23rd in Clarksville. Both departments went to work reaching out to the community in hopes of claiming victory and supporting a great cause. In the end, it was the Clarksville Police Department that came out on top.
The Town of Clarksville will soon become home to a new high-tech manufacturing facility. Siddhi Integrated Manufacturing Services Inc., an Indiana based company specializing in custom contrast manufacturing, recently purchased a new headquarters and manufacturing facility located on Lynch Lane in Clarksville.
The COVID-19 pandemic forced the cancellation of the Town of Clarksville’s annual Independence day concert, but the Town of Clarksville would like to share a video of the latest concert, held in July 2019.
