2020-2021 Providence Baseball Team Honored by Town Council

CLARKSVILLE, IN (August 17, 2021) – The Clarksville Town Council took a few moments at the beginning of their August 17th meeting to honor the Providence High School Baseball Team. The meeting began with Town Council President Ryan Ramsey reading the following proclamation:

A PROCLAMATION HONORING
The Providence High School
2020-21 State Championship Boys Baseball Team

WHEREAS, the 2021 Providence High School Baseball Team attends school in Clarksville, Indiana; and

WHEREAS, in 2021 Providence High School fielded a true “team” in every sense of the word, with 21 highly skilled and united players and 5 outstanding coaches; and

WHEREAS, Ray Reisinger and Eli Watson had two of the best individual seasons in school history with Reisinger setting two school records and one state record, and Watson hitting six home runs; and

WHEREAS, the 2021 Providence High School Baseball Team completed the season with a 23-7 record; and

WHEREAS, the 2021 Providence High School Baseball Team won a hard-fought 4-0 victory over the Eastside Blazers, Butler (IN) to claim the 2020-21 IHSAA Class 2A Baseball State Championship.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that I, Ryan Ramsey, Council President of the Town of Clarksville, along with my fellow Councilmembers, do hereby proclaim August 17, 2021 as “2021 Providence High School Boys Baseball Team Day” in honor of the 2020-21 State Champion Providence High School Boys Baseball Team’s outstanding accomplishments.
