CLARKSVILLE, IN (July 5, 2022) – Temperatures may be high right now, but the weather will be much cooler this Fall when runners from across southern Indiana meet to support Indiana kids. Registration is now open for the annual ClarkFEST “Run for the Kids” 5K. The race is held each year October. This year’s event will be held on Saturday, October 22 at 9:00am.
All proceeds from the annual event are split in half and donated to Clarksville’s “Shop with a Cop” program as well as the WHAS Crusade for Children. Last year’s race raised more than $11,400 for charity. The cost to participate this year is $30.00. Each runner will receive a bib with timing chip and a long-sleeved t-shirt. There will also be awards for the top finishers. Race begins at 9:00AM and timing will end at 10:30AM. The race will start and end at the Clarksville Cove Family Aquatic Center. ClarkFEST is an annual festival sponsored by the Town of Clarksville, and organized by Town employees and community volunteers. The event features a car show, live music, family entertainment, food trucks, and of course, the “Run for the Kids” 5K.
