Clarksville Parks Department Releases Draft of New 5-Year Master Plan

CLARKSVILLE, IN (February 27, 2024) – After months of planning and public meetings, the Clarksville Parks and Recreation Department is releasing the first draft of their new 5-Year Master Plan which will span from 2024-2029. The full plan is available on the homepage of the department’s website at ClarksvilleParks.com.

The master plan will serve as a guide for the department as administrators plan for the future.  It includes things such as a suggested schedule of updates for park facilities and equipment, a list of goals for the department, and results of a needs assessment completed by Clarksville residents.  The master plan is also required in order for the department to obtain grants and/or funding from the State of Indiana.

The Clarksville Parks and Recreation Department is asking Clarksville residents to review the plan and submit any comments or suggestions for the plan.  Resident input will be used to develop a final version of the master plan.  The department will also host a public meeting at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday, March 5, at Clarksville’s Town Hall, to provide an opportunity for public input.

Residents who are unable to make the meeting may submit their comments via email to bnelson@clarksvilleparks.com, or mail to:
