Why did you decide to run for this office?
“I am running for Clarksville Town Council to serve the residents of District 5. Clarksville has great potential and would benefit from an improved transportation plan, a focus on adding parks, and having vacant buildings repurposed.”

What do you believe is the biggest challenge facing the Town of Clarksville, and what would you do to address it if elected?
“The biggest challenge for Clarksville is balancing new developments with quality of life projects. While housing does need to be addressed, building apartments on every piece of vacant land won’t improve quality of life. We need a mix of housing options, parks, and entertainment to meet the needs of current and future Clarksville residents.”

What are your goals for the office?
“Improving parks, creating a new park in District 5, and balancing new developments with green space.”

What experience do you have that makes you the best candidate for the position?
“With my administrative experience, I know how to take many different ideas and incorporate them into a project and get the work done. I have experience working with people at many different levels of an organization. In both my professional and yoga work, I listen, gather information and come up with solutions.”

What do you think is the most important skill someone needs to fill the office you are running for?
“Listening to the residents and being willing to collaborate with staff and other elected officials.”

What distinguishes you from your opponent?
“I am a compassionate leader. I really care about our community and meeting their needs.”

If there was one thing that you could change about the Town of Clarksville, what would it be?
“Making sure there are parks in close proximity to all Clarksville residents with walking/ biking paths to get to those parks. My dream would be a walking/biking path from District 5 all the way down to the river.”
