The Town of Clarksville recently welcomed site selectors from across the country for a visit focused on the community’s growth, development opportunities, and future plans.
Site selectors work with companies and organizations that are looking for locations for new investments, expansions, or business operations. Their visits give communities an opportunity to highlight available sites, infrastructure, redevelopment efforts, and other factors that can influence future investment.
During the visit, Clarksville Economic Development Director Tammi Gibson presented an overview of the Town and shared information about current projects, development opportunities, and the continued growth taking place throughout the community.
The group also heard from Barry Alberts with Weyland Ventures, who provided information about the ClockWorks development planned for the former Colgate property. The project represents one of several major redevelopment efforts helping shape the future of South Clarksville.
Following the presentations, site selectors toured Clarksville’s growing downtown area to see the progress firsthand and learn more about the investment taking place along Main Street and throughout the surrounding area.
The visit provided an opportunity for Clarksville to share its story with professionals who work directly with companies considering future locations and investments. Feedback from the group was positive, with visitors expressing enthusiasm about the projects underway and the opportunities ahead for the community.
Hosting visits like this is an important part of Clarksville’s economic development efforts, helping introduce the Town to decision-makers from across the country and showcase the growth, investment, and potential available within the community.
