The Town of Clarksville has appointed Glen Adams to serve as Interim Town Manager following the departure of Kevin Baity, who concluded his service after 10 years leading the town.
The Clarksville Town Council has engaged Strategic Government Resources (SGR), a nationally recognized local government executive recruitment firm, to conduct the search for the town’s next permanent Town Manager. The recruitment process is currently underway, and no timeline has been established for selecting a permanent successor.
Adams brings more than 25 years of leadership experience in local government, public administration, and organizational management. Throughout his career, he has served in executive leadership positions across multiple communities and has been called upon to guide local governments through periods of transition and organizational change. Most recently, he served as Interim City Manager for Homewood, Alabama, where he oversaw a $128.5 million budget and led the city’s transition to a council-manager form of government. He has also served as Interim City Manager in Martinsville, Virginia, and Interim Town Manager in Purcellville, Virginia.

As Interim Town Manager, Adams will oversee the town’s day-to-day operations, work closely with elected officials and staff, and help ensure a seamless transition while the executive search process is completed.
