CLARKSVILLE, IN (February 22, 2023) – Drivers who normally use Potters Lane in Clarksville will need to use an alternate route in the coming weeks. Beginning March 6th and running through March 10th, construction crews will be closing the intersection of Potters Lane and Greentree Boulevard.
The location of the closure is right at the entrance to Lapping Park and Wooded View Golf Course. The closure is part of a larger Wastewater and Stormwater project in the Parkwood neighborhood. Public Works Director Brad Cummings says signs will be posted to help detour drivers around the closure.
Although the intersection will be closed to traffic, an alternative entrance will be available for visitors looking to enter Lapping Park or Wooded View Golf Course. The Clarksville Parks Department says a utility driveway into the course will be opened to park and golf traffic.
“We want our residents and visitors to know that this construction will in no way hinder them from enjoying Lapping Park or Wooded View Golf Course,” said Parks Superintendent BJ Nelson-Lynton. “We are fortunate to have an alternative access to the parking lot.”
To access the entrance, drivers will just need to approach the park from Greentree Boulevard rather than Potters Lane.
