CLARKSVILLE, IN (May 4, 2023) – Achieving the rank of Eagle Scout is an amazing accomplishment. Even more amazing this that Clarksville’s Troop 10 is celebrating its second new Eagle Scout in as many weeks. Sean Adam Weigel, Jr. successfully completed his board of review last night, which is one of the final steps to achieving the rank of Eagle Scout. Weigel was joined by his father, Assistant Scoutmaster Sean Weigel, Sr., and Scoutmaster Garry Nokes.
One of the other final steps to achieving the rank of Eagle Scout is to complete an Eagle Scout project, which benefits the community. The Scout is tasked with planning the project, fundraising for it, and completing it. Weigel chose to build a blessings box to provide food to the needy in our community. Once the box was built, Adam worked with his fellow scouts to collect food to fill the box. He then worked to obtain permission to hang it at Clarksville’s Fire Station 3, located at 404 Hale Road.
Adam has been a member of Clarksville’s Troop 10 since 2016. He has served many leadership roles in the troop, including Chaplain Aide, Patrol Leader, Quartermaster, and Senior Patrol Leader. Adam has also journeyed with the troop on several high adventure experiences, including the Great Smoky Mountains in 2020, Philmont Scout Ranch in 2021, and Iceland in 2022.
Adam will graduate this year from Charlestown High School and plans to pursue a major in Criminal Justice this fall, starting at Indiana University Southeast. Congratulations to Adam and his family on this amazing accomplishment!
