Clarksville Proclaims Safe Place Week to Support Local Youth

At a recent Town Council meeting, officials issued a proclamation recognizing March 15 through March 21 as Safe Place Week in Clarksville.

Safe Place is a program that partners with local schools, businesses, and community organizations to provide designated locations where young people can go when they need help. These sites offer immediate safety and connect youth with trained professionals who can provide support and resources.

With this proclamation, the Town Council is encouraging residents to help raise awareness about the program and its importance in the community. There are several ways to get involved, including volunteering, supporting local Safe Place locations, or simply making sure young people know where to turn if they need assistance.

Safe Place continues to play an important role in supporting youth across Clark and Floyd counties by ensuring help is accessible when it is needed most.
