CLARKSVILLE, IN (January 26, 2023) – Drivers who use the Blackiston Mill Road bridge between Clarksville and New Albany will soon need to use an alternate route. Construction crews will soon begin making emergency repairs to the bridge, which is owned and maintained by Floyd County. Officials say the bridge will be closed down to one lane on Friday, January 27th, and flaggers will be on site to direct traffic over the bridge.

The greater closure is scheduled to begin on Tuesday, January 31st at 9:00am. Floyd County officials tell us crews will have the bridge completely closed to all traffic through Friday, February 3rd around 4:00pm.
