CLARKSVILLE, IN (April 5, 2024) – We are delighted to announce the groundbreaking ceremony for the NEW Parkwood Elementary School, marking the dawn of a new era in education for our community. The ceremony will take place on April 19th at 1:00 p.m. EST at the construction site located directly next to the existing school at 748 Spicewood Dr., Clarksville, IN 47129.

Parkwood Elementary School represents a significant milestone in our ongoing efforts to provide high-quality education to the children of our community. Approved by Greater Clark County School District’s School Board and supported by the Clarksville community, this project will replace the existing 55+ year-old building, ensuring that our students have access to modern facilities that inspire learning and achievement.

The decision to build the new Parkwood Elementary School came after an extensive facility study and recommendations from a dedicated community task force. Their insights and input have been invaluable in shaping the vision for this new school, which will meet the needs of both current and future students through increased capacity.
