Clarksville Police Department - Police Dispatcher

Description
The Clarksville Police Department is in need of a full-time Dispatcher. The successful candidate will dispatch calls to officers, must be able to multi-task, be detail oriented, be able to work in a fast paced environment and have skills in customer service and possess strong communication skills. This person must be focused and pay close attention to detail. This person also must be able to recognize changes in demand to prioritize workflow. Proficient use of computers, familiar with various computer applications and computer business systems is a must.

Requirements
This person must be flexible to work any day of the week, various hours, including holidays. The hours for this position will be 40 hours per week and the starting salary is $1050 bi-weekly. Experience working as a dispatcher and or IDACS certification is preferred but not necessary. This candidate must have a high school diploma or GED. Clarksville Police Department - Police Officer

All applicants must meet these requirements:

• High School Graduate or Equivalent.
• Hold a current certification from the 40 hour Pre-Basic I.L.E.A.
• Must be a United States Citizen.
• Undergo and pass a polygraph examination administered by this department.
• Must possess a valid driver's license.
• Eye requirement: Correctable 20/50.
• Must be at least 21 years of age, with the maximum age of 35 if appointed a police officer.

There are no openings for the position of Police Officer, however, this is an annual open application period for accepting applications.
